Cars have both wheels and tyres. People often interchange the words wheels and tyres, yet they are two different things. Your wheels are the large metal circular assembly that your tyres fit on. The wheel has several parts including the hub and rim. The hub is the part that spins around the axle. The rim is the front edge face of the wheel. The tyre buts up to the rim. The rim can be enhanced with aftermarket wheels which have beadlocks. These beadlocks lock the tyre into place more securely than a standard rim does.
